About the Role

As a Trainee Business Development Officer attached to the Card Sales Team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling the bank’s credit and debit card products to prospective customers across your assigned territory. You will receive structured training and ongoing support to help you understand card products, sales techniques, and customer engagement standards expected of a Pan Asia Bank representative.

The role involves direct field engagement — meeting potential customers, explaining card benefits, canvassing new business, and converting leads into successful applications. Strong communicators with a “can do” attitude and a willingness to travel within their assigned area will thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective customers to promote the bank’s card products
• Canvass new business within the assigned territory to meet sales targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive repeat and referral business
• Explain card features, benefits, and terms clearly and accurately to customers
• Assist customers through the application process and ensure all documentation is completed correctly
• Travel as required to meet customers and grow the card sales portfolio
• Maintain a professional, energetic, and customer-focused approach at all times

Requirements

• Age below 28 years
• School leavers are preferred; no prior work experience required
• Good communication skills in Sinhala and/or English
• A “Can Do” attitude with willingness to travel and canvass business
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field
