1. Teacher of Art – Secondary Section

Colombo International School is seeking a talented and experienced Art Teacher to join the Secondary Section and inspire students through creative visual expression aligned with the Edexcel (UK) IGCSE and GCE curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging Art lessons across the Edexcel IGCSE and GCE syllabi.
Guide students in developing skills in Fine Art, design, and visual communication.
Develop and assess portfolios and projects in line with Edexcel examination requirements.
Organise and participate in art exhibitions and school-wide creative events.
Maintain a stimulating and inspiring classroom environment that nurtures artistic talent.
Provide regular, constructive feedback to students on their creative development and academic progress.

Requirements

Graduates in Fine Art (BFA) or a closely related qualification.
Teaching experience in the Edexcel (UK) IGCSE and GCE Art courses is essential.
Excellent command of English — spoken and written.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

2. Teacher of PE (Physical Education)

Colombo International School is looking for a dynamic and physically fit Physical Education Teacher to lead the school’s PE programme and contribute to its sports culture and student wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver Physical Education lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and age-appropriate across secondary levels.
Coach a variety of sports, contributing to inter-school competitions and extra-curricular sports activities.
Promote student health, fitness, and wellbeing through structured PE and recreational activities.
Work collaboratively with the school’s academic and administrative team to support holistic student development.
Organise sporting events and encourage student participation across all year groups.

Requirements

Good academic and sports-related background with strong personal fitness and sporting ability.
Pleasant personality with excellent communication skills in English.
Relevant teaching experience in Physical Education is required.
Ability to coach a variety of sports will be a significant added advantage.
