J.F. Packaging PLC makes flexible food packaging at its factory on Minuwangoda Road, Kotugoda. For more than 30 years it has supplied Sri Lankan food processors and overseas buyers. The plant is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and ISO 45001, so quality and food safety rules apply to how materials are received, stored and issued.

The company is hiring an experienced Store Keeper to run warehouse records and stock control.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and check incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes and other documents
• Record all goods received, issued and transferred in the ERP system
• Store materials in assigned locations with correct identification, labelling and safe storage
• Keep stock records accurate through regular stock counts and reconciliations
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, excess stock and slow-moving items to the supervisor
• Follow FIFO and FEFO rules where they apply, so stock rotates correctly and materials do not expire or deteriorate
• Maintain housekeeping, cleanliness and safety standards in the warehouse
• Handle and store materials according to company procedures and quality requirements
• Assist with monthly stock counts, annual stock verification, and internal or external audits
• Coordinate with procurement, production, quality assurance and other departments

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in stores, warehousing or inventory management
• A certificate or training in Store Management or Store Keeping is preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work alone or in a team
• Good communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to keep accurate inventory records and handle warehouse documents
