Union Bank of Colombo PLC is inviting applications for the role of Relationship Manager – Elite Circle. Fitch has rated the bank BBB-(lka), and it operates as a licensed commercial bank supervised by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

The job role

• Acquire new client relationships and manage the assigned portfolio of Elite Circle clients, meeting business objectives per the bank’s guidelines
• Achieve set budgets for financial performance and customer service standards, in line with audit and compliance guidelines
• Maintain a cordial relationship with the assigned client portfolio, driven by superior service quality
• Work towards established targets, monitoring actual performance and taking corrective action
• Grow the portfolio by canvassing new clients while retaining and developing existing ones
• Maintain customer records and provide a high standard of service to clients
• Process operational work according to the Elite Circle Banking operations manual and other internal and external banking guidelines
• Act as an intermediary between clients and the bank’s support service points

The person

• 5 years of post-qualifying experience in the banking or financial services sector, promoting financial services and products
• A highly sales- and service-oriented individual with sound knowledge of banking operations
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment and deliver results through strategy, negotiation, and CRM
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service at all levels
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent time management, leadership, planning, and organising skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear presentations
• A bachelor’s degree in business or an equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage
