Onguard Fire Protection Services is an authorized fire service provider from the Sri Lanka Fire Service Department and a pioneer in the supply and maintenance of fire protection and detection systems across the country for over 25 years. Committed to their mission of “Protecting Lives & Property – Our Commitment, Your Safety,” Onguard is now seeking a self-motivated, ambitious, and dynamic individual to join their team as an Operations Assistant.

This is an immediate vacancy and an excellent opportunity to join a well-established fire protection company with a strong national presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the management and operations team
  • Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation related to fire protection services and contracts
  • Handle correspondence, emails, and communication professionally in both English and Sinhala
  • Assist in coordinating field operations, service schedules, and technician assignments
  • Support accounting and finance functions including invoice tracking and payment follow-ups
  • Prepare operational reports, quotations, and other documentation as required by management
  • Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Handle urgent tasks calmly and professionally, with minimum supervision

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an Accounting or Administrative capacity
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and spoken – in English and Sinhala
  • Excellent computer literacy with a good working knowledge of the MS Office Package (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and with minimum supervision
