Role Overview

Semini Motors (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager – Internal Audit to lead their Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will ensure effective risk management, internal controls, compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements, and safeguarding of company assets. The role provides independent and objective assurance to management and the board on financial, operational, and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Planning & Strategy – Develop annual audit plans and conduct comprehensive risk assessments across all departments
• Audit Execution – Perform audits across all departments, review internal controls, and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
• Reporting & Compliance – Prepare audit reports, present findings to management and the board, and follow up on corrective actions
• Governance & Risk Management – Evaluate risk frameworks, ensure regulatory compliance, and investigate irregularities
• Team Leadership – Supervise the audit team, collaborate across functions, and provide compliance training to staff

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing
• Professional qualification: CA Sri Lanka / CIMA / ACCA (fully or partly qualified)
• 5 to 8 years of overall experience in internal/external auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan tax, compliance, and labour law regulations
• Experience in the automotive or distribution sector is an advantage
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
