Manager / Assistant Manager – Sustainability
Siyapatha Finance PLC, the largest wholly-owned subsidiary of Sampath Bank PLC and licensed by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (Finance Business Act No. 42 of 2011), is recruiting a Manager / Assistant Manager – Sustainability at its Colombo 08 head office.
The Job
- Support the development and execution of sustainable finance strategies and products. Identify green financing opportunities in line with the applicable Green Finance Taxonomy.
- Evaluate business lending proposals against ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles.
- Conduct awareness programmes for frontline staff on sustainable finance initiatives.
- Support greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations, SLFRS S1 and SLFRS S2 reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Person
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sustainability, ESG, risk management, corporate strategy, or compliance within the banking or financial services sector.
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Sociology, or a related field.
- Knowledge of ESG principles and sustainable finance will be an added advantage.
- Strong passion for climate finance and sustainable business practices.
