The company is recruiting a Manager / Assistant Manager – Sustainability for its Colombo 08 head office.

The Job

• Support the development and execution of sustainable finance strategies and products. Identify green financing opportunities in line with the applicable Green Finance Taxonomy.
• Evaluate business lending proposals against ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles.
• Conduct awareness programmes for frontline staff on sustainable finance initiatives.
• Support greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations, SLFRS S1 and SLFRS S2 reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Person

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in sustainability, ESG, risk management, corporate strategy, or compliance within the banking or financial services sector.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualifications in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Sociology, or a related field.
• Knowledge of ESG principles and sustainable finance will be an added advantage.
• Strong passion for climate finance and sustainable business practices.
