About the Institute of British Examinations (IBE)
The Institute of British Examinations (IBE) is a leading Cambridge English Examination preparation centre registered under the British Council, Sri Lanka. IBE is inviting applications from experienced academic professionals to join its Negombo and Wennappuwa operations as a Head Teacher.
Role Overview
IBE is looking for a full-time Head Teacher to lead the delivery of interactive Cambridge and Business English lessons, supervise classroom activities, and support the academic team in maintaining international teaching standards. Candidates from Negombo, Wennappuwa, or nearby areas are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver interactive Cambridge and Business English lessons
- Ensure strong supervision and classroom management with the use of digital platforms
- Support teamwork, professional growth, and international academic standards
Requirements
- A degree or Masters in a relevant field
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Experience teaching Cambridge CELA exams and IELTS
- Proven academic coordination experience
- Ideally under 45 years of age
