Role Overview

Chargeurs PCC Lanka is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join their finance team in Dehiwala. This is a tax and audit-focused internship, providing practical experience in financial operations, statutory compliance, and regulatory documentation within an international manufacturing company environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary link between the Finance team, the External Audit company, and the Inland Revenue Department — facilitating seamless communication and documentation flow
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate, complete, and timely financial records and documentation
• Assist the finance team in meeting statutory deadlines and responding accurately and promptly to regulatory queries
• Organise, archive, and maintain all tax-related records and supporting paperwork in a systematic and accessible manner
• Assist with the preparation of tax computations, VAT returns, and other statutory financial filings
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities

What You Need

• Academic or professional background in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of local tax regulations, VAT, and internal statutory filing procedures
• Strong organisational skills — ability to manage multiple financial documents simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
• Proficiency in managing and using digital document management systems
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Candidates from Dehiwala, Boralesgamuwa, or Piliyandala are strongly preferred
