The Center for Diabetes Endocrinology and Cardio Metabolism (Pvt) Ltd — commonly known as CDEM — is a trusted and specialized healthcare organization in Sri Lanka operating under the motto “Looking After Lives.” CDEM is committed to delivering high-quality medical care in the fields of diabetes, endocrinology, and cardio metabolism. Headquartered at No. 21, Norris Canal Road, Colombo 10, CDEM provides diagnostic and clinical services across multiple service areas in Sri Lanka. As part of their operational expansion, CDEM is now hiring dedicated and responsible Couriers to support the safe and timely transportation of medical specimens and documents.

Job Role: Courier

CDEM’s Couriers play a critical and life-saving role in the healthcare delivery chain. As a Courier, you will be responsible for the safe, confidential, and timely transport of laboratory samples, medical reports, and related documents between CDEM’s collection points, laboratories, and hospitals. Every delivery you make contributes directly to the care and well-being of patients — making this one of the most meaningful roles in the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Collect laboratory samples, medical reports, and related documents from designated collection points
Transport samples safely, securely, and promptly to laboratories, hospitals, and collection centers
Handle confidential documents and medical specimens with the utmost care and professionalism
Ensure that all deliveries are completed within the required timeframes and safety protocols
Maintain accurate logs of pickups, deliveries, and routes
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Report any irregularities, damages, or delays immediately to the supervisor

Requirements & Qualifications

Passed GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) examination
Age between 25 and 40 years
Possession of a valid riding/driving license is mandatory
Ownership of a personal motorcycle is mandatory
Previous experience in courier services, hospital operations, laboratory sample transportation, or logistics will be a strong added advantage
Experience in handling confidential documents and medical specimens is preferred
Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy with a strong sense of duty
