Role Overview

iLabs is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to develop product designs from scratch for the US market. This is a remote, part-time role compensated on a project/hourly basis, ideal for experienced CAD professionals who want to work with American clients from Sri Lanka.

Work Mode: Remote | Part-Time
Compensation: Project basis (Hourly rates in USD)
Location: Remote (Sri Lanka-based)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop product designs from scratch using AutoCAD software
• Present rough design drafts for client approval
• Ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards
• Generate Solid and Surface CAD models using AutoCAD
• Blend technique and aesthetics to create polished final designs
• Present various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations
• Finalize AutoCAD models and present them to US clients
• Complete detailed job reports

Requirements

• Previous work experience as a CAD and/or AutoCAD drafter
• Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and architecture
• Knowledge of state safety and structure regulations (US market preferred)
• Excellent technical design skills
• Good communication skills (English)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and detail
• Ability to project manage and meet deadlines
