Role Overview

CBC Finance Limited is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Branch Manager – Jaffna to lead and manage their Jaffna branch operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for business growth, team management, loan portfolio quality, and customer service excellence in the Northern Province market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all branch operations including new business generation, collections, and customer service
• Develop and execute branch business plans to achieve assigned targets for loans, deposits, and profitability
• Manage and mentor branch staff, conducting regular performance reviews and coaching sessions
• Ensure quality of the loan portfolio through proper credit assessment, appraisals, and risk management
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, business community leaders, and local government institutions in Jaffna
• Ensure full compliance with Central Bank regulations, company policies, and anti-money laundering procedures
• Prepare and submit accurate branch reports on business performance, portfolio quality, and operational matters
• Resolve customer complaints and escalations in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management, or related field
• Part or full professional qualification in Finance / Banking (IBSL, CIMA, CA, or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a licensed finance company or commercial bank, with at least 2 years in branch management or senior supervisory role
• Fluency in Tamil is essential; proficiency in Sinhala and English is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of financial products, credit evaluation, and collections
• Proven leadership, team management, and business development skills
• Willingness to be based in Jaffna on a permanent basis
