<p>CDB is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive <strong>Assistant Manager – Risk Management</strong> to support the organisation’s risk management function. The successful candidate will play a central role in identifying, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across the company, while ensuring that robust risk governance frameworks are maintained and continuously improved. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance or risk professional who wants to build a long-term career within a dynamic, benchmark-setting financial institution.</p>

<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>

<ul>
<li>Conduct regular monitoring of identified risks and proactively scan both internal and external environments to detect emerging risk areas before they materialise.</li>
<li>Evaluate existing risk exposures and make recommendations to reduce or control risks through improved execution of the risk management framework, risk registers, and Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across CDB.</li>
<li>Prepare and present clear, structured reports and presentations that outline findings, highlight risk trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.</li>
<li>Communicate results effectively to diverse audiences, including the Operational Risk Management Committee (ORMC) and the Board Integrated Risk Management Committee (BIRMC).</li>
<li>Maintain the operational risk near-miss and loss event database with accuracy and timeliness.</li>
<li>Conduct root cause analyses on risk events as applicable to prevent recurrence.</li>

<h2>Candidate Profile</h2>

<li>Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field, or a part professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA.</li>
<li>2-3 years’ experience in a related field.</li>
<li>Qualifications in Risk Management would be an added advantage.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement to provide advice and take initiatives in relevant risk areas.</li>
<li>Passion to resolve issues with strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, including developing reports using MS Office and Excel.</li>
