Role Overview
MAS Holdings – Activewear, Balangoda is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team as an Assistant – Employee Relations. In this role, you will implement effective employee relations strategies by analyzing trends and coordinating with Production teams to manage absenteeism and employee turnover, while monitoring Workforce requirements against budgets to ensure optimal staffing levels. Key Responsibilities
- Implement effective Employee Relations strategies by analyzing workforce trends and data
- Coordinate with Production teams to effectively manage absenteeism and employee turnover
- Monitor Workforce requirements against budgets to ensure optimal staffing levels at all times
- Support the development and implementation of employee engagement and welfare initiatives
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in a fair and professional manner
- Liaise with the Employee Representative Body (ERB) and relevant committees on HR matters
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and compliance reports
- Assist in organizing employee welfare programmes, events, and engagement activities
- Support the HR team in implementing company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Counseling, or Psychology
- 1–2 years of work experience in a similar HR or Employee Relations capacity
- Approachable, empathetic, and understanding with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills — ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret HR data and workforce trends
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan Labour Law and EPF/ETF regulations is an advantage
