About Berendina
Berendina is a group of two organisations. Berendina Micro Investments Company Limited (BMIC) was the first Licensed Microfinance Company regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka under the Microfinance Act No. 06 of 2016. Berendina Development Services (Gte) Limited (BDS) is a development organisation that works to reduce poverty among vulnerable and marginalised communities in rural and plantation areas. The group runs 38 branch offices across 13 districts.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, process and follow up on utility payments (including electricity and water) and other payments on time
- Maintain the Head Office premises and see that repairs and maintenance are finished on time
- Manage stationery and printed document stocks, keeping accurate records and making sure items are available when needed
- Coordinate and arrange company events, training sessions, workshops, meetings and other functions
Required qualifications and competencies
- G.C.E. A/L passed in any stream, plus at least a certificate or diploma level qualification in Business Administration, Stock Management or Human Resources
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity, in a similar industry or a reputed organisation
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Computer literacy in MS Office and the internet
- Good written and spoken English
