Role Overview

iLabs is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Automation to drive the test automation strategy across multiple product lines. You will design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks and work closely with developers to ensure software quality across the full stack. This is a hybrid role aligned to US working hours (5pm–2am Sri Lanka time).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications
• Write and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar tools
• Collaborate with developers in Agile sprints to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Perform regression, functional, performance, and API testing
• Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution using JIRA or similar tools
• Conduct code reviews of test scripts and mentor junior QA engineers
• Define and enforce QA standards, best practices, and documentation
• Report testing metrics and quality dashboards to engineering leadership

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of QA experience with at least 2 years in automation testing
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
• Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, or Cypress
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is a plus
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
