Kumon Achievers Center is now seeking a dedicated Full-Time Teaching Assistant to join their passionate team.

Job Role: Full-Time Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant at Kumon, you will work closely with the centre instructor to support children in their daily learning activities in English and Mathematics. You will play a hands-on role in monitoring student progress, managing classroom materials, and creating a positive and encouraging learning environment. This role is perfect for school leavers or fresh A/L graduates who are passionate about education, enjoy working with children, and are looking to gain meaningful experience in a structured educational setting. No prior experience is required — full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide children in reading, writing, and learning activities in English and Mathematics
• Mark and organize student worksheets in a timely and accurate manner
• Support the lead instructor during all class sessions
• Monitor individual student progress and maintain attention during lessons
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate politely and patiently with students at all times
• Assist with administrative tasks related to student records and worksheets as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• GCE A/L qualification, preferably with Mathematics (required)
• GCE O/L qualification with a good knowledge of Mathematics may also be considered
• Fair knowledge of English and Mathematics
• School leavers and those awaiting examination results are welcome to apply
• Previous teaching or tutoring experience is not required — comprehensive training will be provided
• Patient, enthusiastic, and child-friendly personality
• Punctual, responsible, and committed to a consistent weekly schedule

Working Hours

9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. — Tuesday to Saturday
