Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mobile Frontend Developer who is passionate about building beautiful, performant mobile experiences. You will be the lead mobile engineer on a product squad, taking ownership of the React Native codebase while also providing guidance on native Android (Java/Kotlin) implementations where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and Expo
• Write and maintain native modules in Java/Kotlin for Android as required
• Optimise app performance — load times, animations, memory usage and battery consumption
• Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints with robust error handling
• Implement offline-first features and local storage strategies (SQLite, AsyncStorage, MMKV)
• Lead code reviews and establish mobile engineering best practices
• Publish and manage apps through Google Play Console and Apple App Store Connect
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver pixel-perfect implementations

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• 4+ years of mobile development experience (React Native mandatory)
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills
• Native Android development (Java or Kotlin) — at least 2 years
• Experience publishing apps to both Play Store and App Store
• Familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools (Fastlane, Bitrise or GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of mobile state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or MobX)
