Vidura College is seeking qualified and experienced teachers for the following subjects at the Secondary Section:
- English
- Civics
- Buddhism
- History
- ICT (Information and Communication Technology)
- PE (Physical Education)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver well-planned and engaging lessons in accordance with the Sri Lankan National Curriculum (English medium) at the secondary level.
- Assess student learning regularly and provide constructive feedback to support academic progress.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student development.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Foster a disciplined, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Uphold and embody the school’s Buddhist values and ethos in all interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A recognised teaching qualification (Dip.Ed, B.Ed, PGDE or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience teaching the relevant subject at secondary level in the English medium.
- Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Ability to teach in an English-medium, National Curriculum framework.
- Qualified and experienced candidates for immediate engagement are especially encouraged to apply.
