MAS Bodywear – Ratmalana is looking for innovative and technically minded undergraduates and graduates to join the team as Intern – Maintenance (Bodywear). Your Role
As a Maintenance Intern at MAS Bodywear, you will analyse operational data to identify and develop cost-saving opportunities within the maintenance function. You will assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and operational issues on the production floor, while documenting all maintenance activities including repair logs, fault records, and preventive maintenance schedules. Your work will directly contribute to improving machine uptime, operational efficiency, and the overall performance of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse production and maintenance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and operational issues on the production floor.
- Document all maintenance activities including repair logs, breakdown records, and corrective action reports.
- Maintain and update preventive maintenance schedules to minimise unplanned downtime.
- Support the maintenance engineering team in conducting routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Assist in spare parts inventory management and procurement coordination.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
Who We’re Looking For
- Undergraduates or graduates in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret technical data and identify practical solutions.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes.
