We are currently seeking a skilled finance professional to lead our General Ledger Reconciliations function at Manager Grade, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
The Role
The General Ledger Reconciliations Manager will oversee the full GL reconciliation process for the organization, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements. This is a senior finance role that requires deep accounting expertise, strong leadership, and a thorough understanding of CBSL regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the overall General Ledger (GL) reconciliation process across the organization
- Ensure timely completion and accuracy of all reconciliations
- Review reconciliation statements and follow up on outstanding or unresolved items
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant departments
- Ensure compliance with the GL Reconciliation Policy and internal controls at all times
- Ensure timely submission of CBSL regulatory returns
- Prepare periodic reports and updates to management and the CFO
- Guide, mentor, and support team members in their reconciliation activities
Education & Experience
- Part or full qualification in CA Sri Lanka (completion preferred)
- A degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university will be an added advantage
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in accounting with strong exposure to GL reconciliations
- Prior experience in a banking or financial services environment is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of GL processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and regulatory reporting
- Familiarity with CBSL reporting requirements is advantageous
