Role Overview

SITREK Courier Services is seeking a motivated and professional Assistant HR to join their Group HR & Training Division at the Head Office (No. 137, Vauxhall Street, Colombo 03). This role supports the full spectrum of HR operations within a fast-paced logistics and courier services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the full recruitment and selection process — job posting, CV screening, interview scheduling, and candidate coordination
  • Maintain and update employee records, personal HR files, and HR databases accurately
  • Support payroll processing by providing timely and accurate employee information
  • Monitor attendance, leave management, and overtime records for all SITREK employees
  • Handle employee onboarding formalities — issuing appointment letters, induction scheduling, and documentation
  • Assist with HR events, staff welfare activities, and training session coordination
  • Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and documentation for management
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures across the SITREK group

Requirements

  • Passed G.C.E. O/L and G.C.E. A/L
  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar HR capacity
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Sinhala
  • Must hold a positive personality and blend well in a team
  • Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple HR responsibilities simultaneously
  • Any formal qualification in a relevant field will be an advantage
