Role Overview

Signature is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic HR Assistant to support the Human Resources department at their Moratuwa, Rawatawatta office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to build or grow their career in Human Resources within a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HR department with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process — posting vacancies, screening CVs, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files accurately
  • Handle employee attendance tracking, leave management, and related HR documentation
  • Coordinate EPF/ETF submissions and assist with payroll preparation support
  • Support employee relations activities including welfare programmes, team events, and staff communications
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws
  • Handle general HR correspondence including letters, memos, and email communications
  • Provide administrative support during performance appraisal cycles and training programmes

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field (CIPM / PQHRM / IPM qualification is an advantage)
  • 0–2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome)
  • Good communication skills in both Sinhala and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Candidates residing in or near Moratuwa/Rawatawatta are strongly preferred
