Klintas is currently expanding its finance team and is looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to support their accounting and reporting functions.

Role Overview

Klintas is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team in Ragama. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial documents, and supporting month-end and year-end reporting. Candidates living in Ragama or within a reasonable commuting distance will have a strong added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining complete and accurate accounting records and books of accounts
• Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting payment documents
• Handle petty cash management and perform bank reconciliations
• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting and closing activities
• Maintain proper filing and document management of all financial records
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation and other accounting tasks as required

Qualifications

• Diploma or qualification in Accounting or Finance (partly or fully completed) — AAT, CIMA, CA Foundation, or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of core accounting principles
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Good attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small finance team
• Candidates living in Ragama or within a reasonable commuting distance will have a strong added advantage
