General conditions

  • Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens of good character, and physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the island and to hold the post as a state official
  • Send certified copies of your birth certificate, national identity card or passport and your educational and professional certificates and experience letters. An application without them is rejected
  • Write the post you want clearly in the top left corner of the envelope
  • If you apply for more than 1 post, send a separate application for each, and state the post on each application
  • Applications that arrive after 27 October 2026 are rejected

What to prepare

Choose the post before you gather documents, because 11 different degree and experience combinations apply and each needs its own application. The 3 posts with the lowest entry bar are Management Assistant, Driver and Office Assistant, which ask for O/L and A/L passes only. For the Assistant Director posts, the experience is counted after your first degree, so check the date on your degree certificate against the number of years asked. Fill in the application form printed on the right side of the newspaper notice. The same form has sections for your O/L and A/L results, degrees, work history and 2 referees who are not relatives.

How to apply

Send each application, on the prescribed form, by registered post only so that it reaches the office on or before 27 October 2026. Address it to the Executive Director, National Commission on Women, No. 110/9, Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 07. Telephone: 011 2685582. Email: contact.ncwsrilanka@gmail.com.
