About the Opportunity

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC is hiring Agriculture and Microfinance Business Development Associates on a fixed-term contract. The work is community-based outreach: you find farmers and micro-entrepreneurs in your branch’s area and bring them into the formal banking system.

This round has openings at 23 branches in the Southern, Western, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Central, North Western and Northern regions. Candidates must be under 25, so it suits school leavers who have passed their A/Ls and want to start a banking career in or near their home area.

Job description

Find agriculture and micro-entrepreneurs within your branch’s outreach area and bring them to the branch for banking services
Plan and carry out ways to reach potential micro-entrepreneur groups and community-based organisations, and connect them with the branch

Who they are looking for

Below 25 years of age
G.C.E. Ordinary Level passed in one sitting, with at least “C” passes in Mathematics and English
G.C.E. Advanced Level passed
