Sri Lanka Insurance Life (SLIC Life) is Sri Lanka’s national life insurance provider. It is licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka, registered under company number PB 286362, and has its head office at No. 21, Vauxhall Street, Colombo 02.

SLIC Life is building a Transformation Unit and needs a Transformation Specialist to review how the company works, bring in automation and digital tools, and track whether those changes deliver results.

What the Transformation Specialist does

Business process transformation: study internal processes, customer experience and market trends, find inefficiencies, and lead process re-engineering work under SLIC Life’s transformation plan.
Operational excellence: apply Lean Management and continuous improvement methods to remove redundant steps, raise productivity and improve how departments work together.
Digital, automation and AI: research and evaluate RPA, workflow automation, digital and AI solutions, and connect them with platforms such as Core Insurance, SAP and ITSM.
Industry trends: track new technology and insurance industry trends and recommend digital projects that improve business results.
Performance and governance: set and monitor KPIs for automation and digital projects, report progress to senior management, and run knowledge transfer and user training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Digital Transformation, AI or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification from a UGC-approved university or institute
Age below 30 years

Experience

1 to 2 years in software development, business analysis, process re-engineering or process improvement
Experience in project management and in large-scale transformation projects

Skills

Good communication in Sinhala or Tamil, and English
Strategic thinking and problem-solving
Cross-functional teamwork and relationship building
Change management experience
Analytical approach based on data
Interest in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement

Working conditions

The role may require extended hours, work on weekends and public holidays, and attendance at outside meetings when the business needs it.
