The U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants to serve as Human Resources Assistant (MBC) in the Human Resources Office.
The position manages the Locally Employed (LE) Staff Performance Management Program under the Merit Based Compensation (MBC) system. The person in this role acts as the mission’s primary expert on employee performance management, maintains personnel records, and prepares reports related to this function.
Job details
- Work schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
- Monthly gross salary: Rs. 261,110.91
Qualifications required
- Education: completion of two years of general college studies (two years of post-secondary G.C.E. A/L college or university study). Candidates must attach relevant educational certificates
- Prior work experience: minimum three years handling or managing employee performance management, or closely related Human Resources experience. Candidates must attach copies of relevant service or work experience certificates
- Language: good working knowledge of speaking, reading, and writing in English (tested), plus good working knowledge of Sinhala or Tamil
- Job knowledge: understanding of assigned HR functions, HR practices and procedures in performance management, and local labour and social security laws and prevailing customs
- Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet); ability to use complex mathematical formulas for statistical and analytical reports; strong writing skills for reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence; training, presentation, briefing, and negotiation skills; excellent customer service and communication skills for in-person and phone contact; organised, diligent, and able to work under pressure; good leadership and interpersonal skills
