Role Overview
The Preschool Teacher will design and facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering preschool lessons, preparing learning materials, organizing classroom activities, and supervising children during both instructional and playtime periods. Additional tasks include ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and administrators, and participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, including knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices
- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development for preschool or kindergarten-level children
- Ability to teach and support kindergarten readiness skills in alignment with the school’s learning objectives
- Effective communication skills for interacting with children and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner
- Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori education, or NVQ Level 4 qualification
- Prior experience working in a preschool, Montessori, or daycare setting is highly beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom, support diverse learning needs, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment
