Cargills Bank PLC’s Kuliyapitiya Branch is recruiting a Credit Officer. The bank is supervised by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and carries a Fitch Rating of A(lka).

Job Responsibilities

Meet new customers and provide financial solutions to their requirements (new customer acquisition)
Assist the branch manager in achieving annual budgeted credit targets and growth assigned to the branch
Prepare credit proposals inclusive of financial analysis, operating analysis, risk analysis, and other requirements of the bank
Liaise with the credit approving authority of the Bank to obtain timely approvals
Join the Branch Manager / Relationship Manager on client visits and meetings
Perform periodic reviews of the revolving and other credit facilities on a timely basis
Monitor the branch credit portfolio and provide solutions to customers with difficulties in repayment terms

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of banking experience, of which 3 years should be in a credit-related role
Full or part qualification in Banking, Credit Management, or International Trade would be an added advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good analytical skills, including the ability to understand and interpret financial statements
Flair for marketing with an outgoing personality
