Lanka Mineral Sands Limited — a fully state-owned company — invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following vacancy at its Pulmoday Plant (පුල්මුඩේ යන්ත්‍රාගාරය).

Office Aide (කාර්යාල සහයක)

Qualifications for Recruitment

Should have sat for the GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) examination.

Salary Scale (PL-1)

As per Management Services Circular 01/2025:
PL-1: Rs. 40,500 – 450×10 – 490×10 – 540×7,590×15 = 62,530 (per month).
The initial salary step on the salary scale is Rs. 40,500, and Rs. 38,488 will be paid in accordance with Schedule II at the initial recruitment salary step. The salary applicable on recruitment will be determined under Chapter VII of the Establishments Code.

Age Limit

Not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years. The upper age limit is not applicable to internal applicants.

Allowances & Benefits

Allowances

1. Cost of living allowance of Rs. 17,800 (as approved by the Treasury).
2. Monthly meal allowance — paid on the basis of daily attendance.
3. Monthly attendance/transport incentive — paid on the basis of daily attendance.
4. A monthly special allowance of Rs. 1,800 (as approved by the Treasury).

Benefits

1. Insurance cover for hospitalisation and outpatient treatment:
   • Hospitalisation cover up to Rs. 300,000 per year (including family members).
   • Outpatient medical bill reimbursement up to Rs. 25,000 per year (including family members).
   • Dental treatment bill reimbursement up to Rs. 10,000 per year (including family members).
2. Medical expense reimbursement up to permanent (defined) limits:
   • Spectacles allowance of Rs. 12,000 once every two years under the internal medical scheme.
   • Outpatient medical reimbursement of Rs. 5,000 once a year (in cash) under the internal medical scheme.
   • Dental treatment reimbursement of Rs. 12,000 once every two years (in cash).
3. The employee contributes 10% to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and the institution contributes 15%; in addition, the institution contributes 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) on behalf of the employee.

General Conditions

1. Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka.
2. Applicants should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the post and to serve in any region of the island.
3. Applicants must be of excellent character (police clearance may be required).
4. Selected applicants will be liable to bear the cost of their initial appointment documentation as applicable.
5. Age is calculated as at the closing date of applications.
