About the Role

The company is looking for qualified, smart, outgoing, and result-oriented individuals who are aspiring to set a firm foundation for a fulfilling career in the insurance industry. As a Trainee, you are expected to learn and proactively get involved in all functions of LOLC General Insurance Company PLC.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka
2. Age: Below 26 years
3. Required Educational / Professional Qualifications: A Degree with First Class / Second Class Upper obtained from a local or foreign university approved by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka in any of the following disciplines:
   • Insurance & Valuation / Insurance & Risk Management — Most Preferred
   • Statistics / Mathematics
   • Sales & Marketing / Automobile Engineering
   • Business Management / Business Administration / Public Administration

Pre-Requisites / Requirements

• Proficiency in Sinhala / Tamil / English languages (at least two languages); strong teamwork, leadership qualities, and good interpersonal skills
• Sound IT knowledge with creativity and imagination, and the ability to apply relevant concepts to real work life
• Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimum supervision

Terms and Conditions

1. The training period will be two years, and a monthly allowance will be paid during the training period
2. Subject to successful completion of the program, trainees will be considered for absorption into permanent cadre positions, depending on availability at that time
3. Candidates should be prepared to serve in any part of the country as required by the Company

Selection Procedure

Selection will be made through a competitive examination, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates.
