Intern – Human Resources (Factory) | Akbar Brothers | Mabole

Akbar Brothers is now excited to invite a motivated individual to kick-start their HR career through an Intern – Human Resources (Factory) role based at their Mabole facility. As an HR Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in supporting HR operations within a factory environment, serving as an essential part of the HR team’s daily activities.

Your Role with Us

• Support day-to-day HR operations in a busy factory environment
• Assist with recruitment coordination, CV screening, and interview scheduling
• Support employee onboarding and induction processes for factory staff
• Assist in maintaining HR records, employee databases, and attendance systems
• Support employee engagement activities and welfare programmes within the factory
• Acquire hands-on insights into core HR functions including employee relations and development programmes tailored to a manufacturing setting
• Assist with HR compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements

What We Are Looking For

• An undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or CIHRM certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse workforce
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• A proactive, positive approach with a fast-learning mindset and a keen interest in the field of HR
• Sinhala typing skills are preferred
