Job Role

Swetch Colombo is seeking a talented and self-driven Civil Engineer in Tekla Structures to join their Malabe team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in civil engineering, a passion for structural design and detailing, and either current or developing skills in the Tekla Structures software programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to advance their career in an internationally connected, European construction environment with a competitive starting salary from Rs. 120,000 per month after taxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and develop concrete and steel engineering drawings using the Tekla Structures programme to European design standards.
• Design reinforcement for precast concrete elements using Tekla Structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform detailed modelling of concrete and steel elements in various building structures as per project specifications.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality structural documentation for European construction projects.
• Continuously improve skills in Tekla Structures and stay updated with the latest construction design methods.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Moratuwa or University of Peradeniya.
• Good understanding of building construction fundamentals and structural principles.
• Previous work experience in making engineering drawings, reinforcement designing, and detailing using Tekla Structures or similar construction-related programmes is a strong advantage.
• Self-driven personality committed to professional improvement and delivering top-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, respect diverse opinions, and adapt to challenging circumstances.
• Adequate knowledge of English and good communication skills.
• Must reside within a 1-hour commute to Malabe, Colombo.
