1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CareerLK website (careerlk.com) and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.

CareerLK is operated by CareerLK (Private) Limited, a company incorporated in Sri Lanka. These terms govern your access to and use of our Platform as a job seeker, employer, or general visitor.

2. Use of the Platform

You agree to use CareerLK only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or CVs
• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from our Platform without prior written consent
• Use automated tools or bots to submit applications or post jobs
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
• Harass, discriminate against, or harm other users of the Platform
• Violate any applicable Sri Lankan laws or regulations

3. User Accounts

To access certain features you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately at hello@careerlk.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, contain inaccurate information, or are used in a manner inconsistent with the purpose of the Platform.

4. Employer Responsibilities

Employers using CareerLK to post job vacancies agree that:

• All job listings are genuine, current, and accurately described
• Listings comply with all applicable Sri Lankan employment and anti-discrimination laws
• Personal data collected from applicants will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws
• Job postings will not be used to collect personal data for purposes other than recruitment
• CareerLK is not responsible for hiring decisions or employment outcomes

5. Job Seeker Responsibilities

Job seekers using CareerLK agree that all information provided — including CVs, profiles, and application materials — is accurate, honest, and up to date. You understand that CareerLK acts as a platform to connect you with potential employers and is not responsible for employment decisions made by employers.

6. Content & Intellectual Property

All content on the CareerLK Platform — including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — is the property of CareerLK (Private) Limited or its content suppliers and is protected by Sri Lankan and international intellectual property laws.

By submitting content to our Platform (including job listings, CVs, and profile information), you grant CareerLK a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content for the purposes of operating the Platform.

7. Privacy

Your use of CareerLK is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Limitation of Liability

CareerLK provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CareerLK excludes all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform. CareerLK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

CareerLK does not verify the accuracy of job listings or employer information and is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on information posted on the Platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or engaged in conduct harmful to CareerLK, other users, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
