Role Overview

iLabs is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to drive end-to-end quality assurance across complex web platforms. You will own automation testing using Playwright, implement AI-assisted test strategies, and collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to ship high-quality releases.

Shift: 9am – 6pm (Sri Lanka Time)
Location: Battaramulla (Onsite)
Experience Required: 3–5 years

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end QA strategy ensuring high-quality, scalable releases with minimal defects across complex web and platform systems
• Own test architecture using Playwright; design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks alongside comprehensive manual test strategies
• Leverage AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to generate test cases, optimize scripts, and accelerate QA productivity and coverage
• Partner with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality early and enable continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor junior QA engineers and enforce best practices, code quality standards, and high-performance delivery culture
• Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting to drive data-backed decisions and continuous improvement
• Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies to ensure production stability

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Playwright with strong capability in both automation and manual testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, version control systems, API testing tools, and modern test management platforms
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and quality engineering best practices
• Strong problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
