Job Overview

British Way English Academy – Kurunegala is inviting applications from qualified and passionate individuals to join their teaching team as an English Teacher, available on a Full Time or Part Time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who are driven by a love for teaching and a desire to make a difference in students’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students of varying age groups and proficiency levels
• Manage classroom dynamics professionally to ensure a productive learning environment
• Conduct evening, weekend, and kids’ classes as required by the branch schedule
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support
• Collaborate with the academic team to develop and refine teaching materials and lesson plans
• Maintain accurate attendance and performance records for all assigned students
• Uphold the high academic standards and professional values of British Way English Academy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in English, Education, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience as an English Teacher is required
• Undergraduates with a strong passion for teaching are also encouraged to apply
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English
• Demonstrated experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and delivering effective lessons
